How many classes per week should I attend?
We recommend two classes per week, plus a certain amount of practise and fitness work between classes as the perfect level of training.

This allows the student time to work on material between classes and become proficient before new concepts are introduced.

At Hall's Taekwondo, at no extra cost, you can do as many classes as you like, so long as they are at your level and below.
Will there be other beginners in my class?
At Hall's all students are grouped by age and by rank. For you, it's simple; same age, same skill level.
How do I get fit?
As the instructor progressively adds skills and routines you will become more proficient. The tempo of the class steadily increases as does your toning and fitness.
Will the Hall's Taekwondo programs make my child aggressive?
On the contrary. At Hall's Taekwondo children are taught that Taekwondo is not to be used in aggression, but rather to defend oneself in problematic situations.

Aggressive behaviour channelled into assertiveness increases the child's self esteem, self discipline and builds character.

Our programs also help the shy child to develop self confidence and become more assertive.
Will my classes be safe?
Absolutely. All classes taught at Hall's Taekwondo are strictly monitored to ensure complete safety.
Protective gear is a must for competition sparring What about sparring?
All students interested in sparring are required to wear protective equipment such as body shield, head guard, arm and leg guards, groin guard and mouth guard.

Most sparring in class is controlled, non-contact , because it takes a lot more skill to finish just short of the opponent than to follow through with contact.

Specific sparring classes offered through the timetable and contact situations such as championships are strictly supervised.
How long will it take me to become reasonably proficient?
The time it takes to become proficient varies with each individual depending on the effort they put forward.

At Hall's Taekwondo students are very often amazed by their own ability and their degree of accomplishment in as little as three months.
